The Story of a Gemstone Necklace
Once upon a time, there was a lovely boy who lived with his poor mother in a small village. The little boy’s father had been to a big city far away from his hometown and only came back to the village once a year. The mother and the little boy lived a very hard life for the poor woman could not earn too much money by herself and the money sent by her husband was just enough to cover the daily expense.
One day a stranger from outside the village went to their house. He said he was a businessman and all his money was stolen by the thief so he could not afford to live in a hotel. He hoped that he could stay in their house for several days and gave them some of his goods as accommodation fees. Although the mother kept wondering weather what he said was true or not, she finally agreed to let the stranger live in their house.

Three days later, the man left, and what he gave the mother was a shining gemstone necklace. He said it was worth ten thousand dollars.
The mother didn’t believe his words, and she thought it was a fade one. Considering that he had no money to pay for the fees, she accepted it without saying anything.
Something strange happened after the man’s stay. The lovely little boy seemed to be caught in a terrible disease. He didn’t want to eat anything and became thinner and thinner day by day.
Several months later, the father came back and discovered his son’s strange behavior. After knowing the story of the strange who gave them the gemstone necklace, the father went to examine the necklace carefully. The father had once been a trader of gemstone so he soon figured out the necklace was from ancient Egypt and there is a curse on it. The father threw the gemstone into a deep blue sea and the little boy become normal again.
According to the mother, the strange had a mysterious mark on his arm. It is like a lion or a man with long hair. She draw the pattern down on a paper and sent it to a expert who study the ancient Egypt culture. The expert said the man’s identity was the guard of a pyramid. His task was to send something with a curse to people and after a person died from the curse the pyramid would be more stable. Such men were hated all around the world and they were said to be people who had done many evil things the life before.
